Youths Division 1 Win
Borora Juniors-2
Parkceltic Summerhill-0
Borora Juniors are on a six game winning streak after beating Parkceltic Summerhill on Monday night.
1st half:
Borora played good football from the whistle creating many chances. Calum Blair carried the ball forward and the ball was moved to Sean Coyne on the wing, he tapped it backwards to Nathan Byrne who let in a perfect cross to Diarmuid O’Reilly who headed it in to put Borora 1-0 up early on. For the majority of the rest of the half Borora were on top and Parkceltic Summerhill didn’t trouble Calvin Quail in goals too much.
2nd half:
Borora were again the better team in this half but Parkceltic Summerhill got into the game a bit more. An Adam Kerins shot was parried by the goal keeper and fell to Diarmuid O’Reilly and he got his second goal of the game. Borora didn’t stop and pushed for a third and almost got it numerous times when Jack Smyth looked for a goal of his own but good goalkeeping and defending from Parkceltic Summer meant he didn’t get one.
Parkceltic’s best chance came near the end of the game when their striker found himself through on goal but he was blocked by Jake Smyth before he could get a shot away ensuring a clean sheet for Borora.
