Youths Eolas Technologies D2
Borora Juniors 3-2 Enfield Celtic
Borora Juniors welcomed Enfield Celtic to Moynalty for an entertaining Eolas Technologies D2 encounter. In an action packed game, David Rock opened the scoring after some great work down the left side from Ayokunle Ali and Patrick Gallagher. Enfield quickly hit back with a goal of their own, catching Borora napping. Borora played some nice football throughout the half but could not find a second goal. Then a super strike from an Enfield player from outside of the box to the top left corner resulted in Enfield taking a 2-1 lead into halftime. Borora Juniors refreshed with the introductions of Rowland O’Reilly, Luke Dolan, Phoenix Brennan and Cian Rourke. Phoenix Brennan nearly put himself on the scoresheet only to be denied by the woodwork. Shortly after, Èanna Bennett took to the pitch and it wasn’t long before the ball was in the back of the net. A great strike in the box from Èanna saw Borora draw level in the game. Later on, David Rock ran in behind the Enfield defence and was taken down in the box. Penalty! Mikie Mongey stepped up and smashed it home to give Borora a 3-2 lead. Some nervy moments followed but Borora Juniors defended resolutely and secured the 3 points. A very good performance with some nice football played and a deserved win for Borora Juniors.
