1st Half:

A fiercely competitive game between 2 evenly matched teams which saw quite a number of chances created for both sides throughout the first half of the game. However, both sets of defenders and Goalkeepers were in fine form and focused in their efforts with attacking players for each team just unfortunate with final finishes. For the home side, Jack Moore continued his fine form up front by terrorising the visiting defenders with his pace and attacking play with the final shot just off target on a few occasions. The home side midfielders (inclusive of Captain Eoin Murphy, Cameron McGarry, Matthew Morris and Thomas Whelan) played to an exceptional level in making tackles, passing and winning back possession to help the team win the 3 points. however, despite all efforts from both sides the first half ended goalless.

2nd Half:

With everything still up for grabs for both sides, the second half kicked off with the visitors on the front foot. Both sides continued to create chances but it was the home side who took the lead on 13 minutes of the second half. Despite missing 2 early chances in the second half, it was Jack Moore's persistence that paid off to give the home side the lead. A clever through ball saw Jack onside and bearing down on goal where he successfully placed the ball to the keepers right hand side, 1 - 0 to Borora.  However, you are always at your most vulnerable just after taking the lead and this proved to be the case with Dunshaughlin equalising just a mere 60 seconds later. Despite further chances for the home side, including an impressive flick up and immediate volley (from distance) from Thomas Whelan from outside 18 yard box - just saved by Dunshaughlin goalkeeper, the scores remained 1 - 1 until 10 minutes from time. 

Following a break away attack from Dunshaughlin down Bororas right side, their midfielder skipped past the home side - beating 3 players before crossing the ball from the edge of the box where the ball was swept home from all of 6 yrs into the centre of the goal. 1 - 2 to Dunshaughlin. 

In a game competitive throughout from all aspects of the pitch, it was unfortunate that one side came away from the game with no points.
