Borora Juniors 2-5 Skryne Tara
Both teams served up a feast of goals on Sunday morning in Moynalty. The top two in the division went toe to toe and the visitors struck first and went on to lead 0-3at halftime. However this was not a true reflection of the game. The home midfield dominated possession and created plenty of chances however luck was against them as Skryne scored from three attacks. Shane Bennett , Jack Shalvey , Eoin Gilsenan were causing havoc and with Diarmuid O’Malley and Éanna Bennett threatening on every attack. There was no luck in the opening half for Borora with the defence battling hard to keep the visitors at bay, huge efforts from Cathal Donoghue, Daniel Stafford ,Sean Behan and Mickey Smith .
Borora took over second half and two cracking goals from Èanna Bennett brought Borora back into the tie. Some expect attacking play Coaimhin Cussen , Shalvey and Bennett set up Shane Bennett for two great chances but he pushed them past the post. Sean Behan went closer still bending a shot agonisingly wide from just outside the box. This was a monumental effort by the home team as they only had the bare 11 players and those players played their hearts out on the day.
They pushed on but some good defensive play kept them out. Skryne got two late goals to put a gloss on the score line.
