Borora Juniors U12s 2-0 Kells Youths (navy)
This was Borora's best performance of the season so far with some pleasing possession football against a good Kells team. The forwards were threatening from the start with Logan Wilson and Henry Pratt looking to feed Oisin Gardiner. The defence of Sean Gaynor, Jayden Sherlock and captain Patrick Cussen were solid at the back led by keeper Aaron Rothwell. A special mention to Oran McKenna who was superbly assured on his debut and will be a great addition to the team. But it was the midfielders who shone with Bobby Kavanagh, Fionn Nulty and man-of-the-match Daniel White all excelling. A deserved opening goal came from Danny Gorman and a viciously whipped trademark corner kick. In the second half, centre-forward James McCabe rattled the bar from 30 yards in what would have been goal of the season. Logan Wilson settled the nerves with a finely taken goal in the last few minutes of a very entertaining game with both sides playing some great football.
