Ballyhaise 0-4 CastleVilla

CastleVilla newly formed div4 team made the long trek to Monaghan to play Ballyhaise Celtic on a sunny afternoon.
The visitors started brightly with the maurading Colm McDonagh popping up at right wing before crossing to Tom Beirne who couldn’t finish. This was a warning of what was to come.
Shortly afterwards Èanna Bennett won and took a free kick, putting in a cross for Beirne to head home. 0-1 . Beirne turned provider soon after but Bennett scuffed his shot wide. Moments later Bennett scored after turning two defenders and firing home the second. 0-2 at halftime.
The visiting team dominated possession and the midfield of Lochlann O’Reilly. Brian Lynch and Luke Mulholland were strangling the opposition. Rolland O’Reilly and Luke Demange had the full backs pinned back all afternoon. McDonagh, Ciarain O’Leary and captain Adam Tallon were enjoying the sunshine with keeper Jono Francis keeping the home side out.

Bennett and Beirne scored again second half to take a four goal lead after 60 minutes.
The visitors emptied the bench and Adam and Sam McNally , Paul McGuinness , Leo Fitzgerald and Harry McCormack created more opportunities to add to the score line but to no avail.
Overall a hugely successful afternoon from all the lads who look forward to playing Raharney in Moynalty on Friday night next at 8pm.
