Borora juniors 2-2 OMP
Borora Juniors youth and OMP played out an amazing 2-2 draw on Friday evening in Moynalty.
The away team settled into their rhythm early and pushed the hosts back but sone expert defending from Dovydas Glassas , Matt Moriarty and Luke Quinn kept them out. Some neat passing moves by Borora on twenty minutes through the midfield by Cathal Walsh, Sean Behan and Gearoid O’Malley laid on a chance for Èanna Bennett which he slotted home into the bottom left corner. With ten minutes left to half time OMP levelled it after some neat play through the middle. A quick throw in down the left wing found Sean Behan in space who took one touch before crossing in for Bennett to tap in the second and restore Bororas lead.
2-1 halftime score.
The second half was much improved by the hosts with Keegan Sheridan, Conor Fitzpatrick,Jack Shalvey , Diarmuid O’Malley , Mikey Smith , Dean Williams and Oisin Sheridan coming off the bench. A sharp move from OMP and the ball fell to the midfielder who smashed home to equalise for the visitors. Huge chances were created by Byron Wearon, Calum MIitchell, Jack Shalvey and Diarmuid O’Malley but Borora could not capitalise on any of them.
The rest of the game was mostly one way traffic with Borora pressing hard for the winner and OMP holding on foe a point. The home team deserved the win and played a fantastic game.
